The Rural Development Organization (RDO) is an independent, non-profit and non-affiliated international organization established by intellectuals, experts, and knowledgeable individuals from both within and outside Afghanistan in 2024 with the mission of fostering fundamental and sustainable transformations in the rural regions of Afghanistan. In the face of numerous challenges,

RDO remains committed to harnessing local human and natural resources to facilitate social and economic development.

Drawing on years of experience in coordinating charitable efforts from diverse communities and organizations worldwide, RDO members has successfully designed and implemented over 200 small- to medium-scale development projects. These initiatives span crucial infrastructure developments, including roads, dams, bridges, healthcare facilities, schools, and agricultural enhancements, as well as water supply systems. So far, millions of dollars have been invested in these projects, significantly impacting the quality of life in rural communities.

Our headquarters is located in Afghanistan, with representation offices currently established in Sweden and plans for future expansion into Germany, Canada, Australia, and other nations. At RDO, we firmly believe in the principles of transparency, social justice, and respect for cultural diversity as the foundation for creating sustainable and empowered communities. Our programs and projects are meticulously designed with the primary objectives of job creation, poverty alleviation, and enhancing the quality of life in rural areas. We are committed to effective

collaboration with both international and local institutions, alongside generous individuals dedicated to fostering a bright and sustainable future for Afghanistan. The organization as well aims to improve the efficiency and transparency of development projects initiated by local businessmen and diaspora community from these regions who reside in various countries.
